Coronavirus / COVID-19

To Our Parents and Families,

During the current concerns regarding coronavirus, we would like to reassure you that we are taking precautions to keep my playroom as hygienic as possible. We will be wiping down the playroom with disinfectant each day and often in between each session. We have removed play materials that encourage sharing bodily fluids, such as flutes and whistles, among others. We are also asking you and your child to use hand sanitizer or alcohol wipes or hand washing as you enter and leave the clinic.

Once inside the waiting room, please wear a face mask and practice social distancing of 6 feet.  If you arrive to the office before your appointment ring the doorbell and I will let you in. If another child or adult is exiting I will ask you to stay in the hallway near the elevators so the persons can exit and maintain distance in the halls. Appointments are scheduled with time in between sessions, however I can not predict if there is a timing issue.  Although we are taking precautions, we cannot guarantee that the playroom or office  is completely virus-free despite taking precautions.

If you are uncomfortable with bringing your child to play therapy, please feel free to share your concerns and we will schedule accordingly. We remain committed to you and your children and will work with you on the safest way to provide play therapy services.”

Remember to take care of your own health and that of your family. It can be tempting to prioritize patient needs, but remember that if you become ill, you cannot provide effective care. If you or your child is running a fever over 99 degrees, has sneezing/ runny nose or coughing or shortness of breath please seek consult with your medical provider and reschedule your appointment.  Being safe and healthy is my main concern.
