BIOGRAPHY:
Extensive experience working with children in school settings as a Licensed School Counselor for over 25 years. Community mental health experience with chemical dependency, domestic violence, grief etc.
Provides supervision and consultation in play therapy to mental health professionals as a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor.
She has presented at conferences on topics such as Neurobiology and Play Therapy, Attachment, Trauma and Play based Interventions, Play Therapy with Sexually abused children, and Play Therapy in the Schools.
Liz has supervised master’s level students as practicum students for over 10 years for local universities, including serving as an adjunct professor at Argosy University from 2015 to 2019 in the Marriage and Family Therapy department.
Currently, Liz owns a part-time private practice in downtown Honolulu specializing in providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults and families as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and certified Jungian Sand Play Practitioner.
